The two “M”s surrounded by two “U”s from the sides is what we love.
KUMMUNI is a Commune space (Also known as co-living) startup for international students in Berlin. Best Place Immobilien GmbH & Co. KG was looking for a unique and memorable name that can also be a dot com; thus, we delivered them what they were dreaming. The word KUMMUNI is inspired by related words such as “community,” “common,” and “commune.” Since Best Place Immobilien was looking for university students as the target customers, we decided to create a name which is also inspired by those group of customers.
Komm in German is the First-person singular present of Kommen (Come). Uni is the popular short form of Universität (University). Thus, first, we came up with kommuni. However, since the visual style of a name is critical as much as the name itself, we decided to go with KUMMUNI as the final pick. The two “M”s surrounded by two “U”s from the sides is what we love.
KUMMUNI would be pronounced the same in different languages. Moreover, it sounds good in English, the language of business. It is .com, and unique. It is memorable. And that is why we can say the name KUMMUNI is remarkably professional.
